How long does flower preservation take?

Flower preservation is slow on purpose. From the day blooms arrive at the studio to a finished, cured resin keepsake, most orders take several months — often in the region of around six months from flowers received for many wedding pieces. Exact lead times are listed on each product page and can flex with season, mould size and studio capacity.

That clock starts when flowers are with us in good condition — not on your wedding day itself. Booking early still matters, because the calendar fills months ahead.

Timeline at a glance

• Before the event — reserve a slot (£30) and choose your piece(s)
• Within 1–3 days after the event — post or drop off flowers (tracked postage preferred)
• On arrival — condition check and drying starts
• Drying phase — blooms dry fully so they are stable in resin (this is the longest wait)
• Design — layout shared for your approval before casting
• Casting & cure — resin poured, cured and finished by hand
• Dispatch or collection — your finished keepsake when curing is complete

Why drying takes time

Fresh flowers hold moisture. If they go into resin too soon, clarity and longevity suffer. We dry blooms until colour and structure are ready for casting. Thicker stems, dense bouquets and certain flower types simply need longer — rushing this stage is the fastest way to a disappointing piece.

Design approval

Before the final pour we share a layout for you to approve. This is your chance to confirm placement of hero blooms, greenery and any inclusions. Once approved, casting goes ahead; redesign rounds may extend the timeline if changes are needed.

Memorial and special-occasion orders

Funeral and memorial work follows the same careful drying and casting stages. We keep communication gentle and clear; timings are still measured in months rather than weeks. If you are unsure what can be preserved, contact us with a photo.

Can you rush an order for an anniversary gift?

Resin curing and drying cannot be safely compressed to a few weeks. If you have a hard date, tell us when you reserve so we can be honest about whether the lead time fits.

When should I book relative to my wedding?

As early as you can — ideally when the date is set or the florist is booked. A £30 reserve slot holds capacity even if you choose the exact mould later.

Does posting delay the process?
